As defined by Little League: The Little League Baseball Division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for boys and girls ages 9-12. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of 11-12-year-olds from within this division, and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Little League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the globe.
Typical CNLL Majors players are 10-12 and will experience:
- More competitive baseball, with experienced pitchers.
- Games are played at Kennedy Middle School, and also at other local leagues
- Two games a week and one practice a week during the season, with some three games a week at the end of the season. One game is always Saturday.
- Top players are selected for an All-Stars team, which plays post-season. (The season can get very long!)
The Majors home games are played on CNLL's main field: the Lower field at Kennedy (see our fields).
