2007 Season

July 2007

July 16th, 2007: Congratulations to our All Stars! All of our All-Stars teams played well in the District 44 Tournaments. Our Juniors All-Stars earned their way into the Championship Game. Both our 10-11 All-Stars and our 11-12 All-Stars went very deep into their tournaments. And our 9-10 All-Stars played competitively even after having their first game be against the eventual tournament champions. Well Done!

March 2007

March 29th, 2007: We've got game schedules. Minors Division game schedules are now posted. We've updated the links for the Juniors Division game schedules. And there have been a couple of updates to the Majors Division game schedule.

March 16th, 2007: Umpires! If you missed last weeks Clinic, is will be important for you to attend this Sunday 's training (3-5:30) in order for you to sign up for the upcoming games this Season. More information on the Umpires Info page.

March 14th, 2007: Tonight at 7:30pm there is a local PCA workshop. All Managers, Coaches (and Parents) are invited. This event has been arranged by CNLL, and we would like at least one manager, coach or representative from each team in our league to attend this workshop.

March 2nd, 2007: Managers, Coaches, Parents: CNLL has arranged for us to be able to participate in a local PCA workshop.

February 2007

February 27th, 2007: Of course, as soon as you post something it becomes out of date. The Majors Division game schedule is posted, but is still undergoing some changes. We'll post another notice when it looks like the schedule is closer to being "set".

February 25th, 2007: The Majors Division game schedule has been posted. Minors schedule is still a work in progress, hope to have it settled in a week or so.

February 24th, 2007: An update on schedules now that teams have been formed. Game schedules should be announced soon -- some final details are still being worked out. There is an update on the Umpires clinic (it will be in the afternoon, not in the morning) of March 11th.

February 14th, 2007: Majors Division teams have been formed. Minors Division teams should be drafted in time for players to be contacted over the weekend. Look for email or a call from your coaches.

February 8th, 2007: We are trying to make plans for the upcoming weekend, rain or shine... If we have players that need to go through the Majors/Minors tryouts, please contact us, there will be a makeup session this Saturday. Also, there will be Juniors Clinics 3-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. More details, such as we might know them, are on the Players Info page.

February 2nd, 2007: Time slots for the 9-12 Year Old's Tryouts for Minors/Majors have not been set. We will run this weekend just as we planned to do last weekend -- in rounds of about 30 kids, first-come-first-served, last round finishing near 2:30pm. If there are problems, please plan on coming early (at or before the start at 10am) and perhaps something can be worked out. Again, the outline of the tryouts plan is on the Players Info page.

January 2007

January 31st, 2007: We've posted the new plan for the 9-12 Year Old Tryouts in the Players Info page. Unfortunately, owing to the compressed schedule with last week's rainout, the plan is now much less flexible -- please read and plan accordingly. Thank you for your patience.

January 27th, 2007: Because of the rain that is expected to continue through the morning, CNLL has decided to postpone the 9-12 Year Old Tryouts until next week. Note, Registration will still be open at the Snack Shack for those who still need to do the in-person verifications.

January 26th, 2007: Rain!?! We had our quota of rain last year. Therefore we are going to assume that Saturday will be dry enough to hold the 9-12 Year Old Tryouts. However, we will hold off making an absolute decision right up until the latest possible moment -- watch this space in the event that field conditions force us to reschedule...

January 25th, 2006: Majors and Minors tryouts are this weekend. All 9-12 year olds are asked to participate, returning Majors players are excepted. See the Players Info page for more information on the day's schedule. Also there will be Juniors clinics both Saturday and Sunday this week, times are posted on the Calendar and in the Players Clinics page.

January 23rd, 2006: Junior clinics will be on Sundays at 2pm for the next 4 or 5 weeks on the Kennedy Juniors field. We may add more days to this as we go. Everyone wanting to play in the juniors program should come to all the clinics.

January 20th, 2007: The Juniors for today is unfortunately canceled owing to difficulties in coaching arrangements. Once we have figured out all of the arrangements, we will update the Calendar. Watch this space for updates, and thank your for your patience.

January 15th, 2007: Attention all 9-12 year olds. The schedule for the 9-12 year old clinic has been posted in the Players Clinics page. Note, this starts real early in the morning at Hardtke with lessons on batting, then returns to Kennedy Majors field in the afternoon. Plan your day carefully.

January 14th, 2007: Even as the weather gets cold, CNLL is starting to warm up. Players clinics (9-12 year olds and 13 and up) should be starting this coming weekend, and tryouts for all 9-12 year olds will be the weekend after that. If you have not already done so, please start the Registration process. Beat the chills, start getting warmed up now!

January 12th, 2007: Unfortunately, the Juniors Clinic, scheduled for Saturday the 13th, has been canceled.

January 5th, 2007: The folks at Little League have published a Pitch Count Booklet (pdf file) describing the new pitch count rules including some discussion and tips for parents and coaches. These new pitch count rules are the most significant change in the Little League rulebook this year.

January 4th, 2007: The dates have been set for the walk-in part of the Registration process. The first is next Wednesday evening, January 10th. Please register online and then come in to one of the in-person registration dates on the 2007 Calendar.

December 2006

December 10th, 2006: Online Registration is ongoing, and we are still working out the logistics for hosting the in-person registration. We are working on setting up the in-person registration tables for January 10th and 13th. Also we will have someone who can handle the registration tables on the same days as the 9-12 year olds' Try Outs (probably sometime in the later weekends of January).

December 3rd, 2006: Registration is now open. Sign up now for the Spring '07 season.
